Description: About Facility: o 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 o 457 licensed beds o Trauma Level III o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center of Excellence o Bariatric Center of Excellence o Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ? Department Information: o Beds: 10 ? Avg Daily Census 8 patients o Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider ? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Chest Pain, Syncope, Angina ? Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement) ? Ratios: o RN: 1:5 o CNA: 1:10 ? Skills required: o General Med/Tele skillset: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps o Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF ? Support within the Department: o Supervisor o Charge RN may or may not have patients o Resource RN will assist with Admissions/Discharges o RT, 24/7 not dedicated to this unit specifically o Hospitalist, 24/7 - not dedicated to this unit specifically o Phlebotomy: Combined effort between RNs, IV team o IV/VAT Team ? Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o IV Pumps: Alaris o Med Dispensing: Omnicell ? Floating: o Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. They will demonstrate adaptability and clinical flexibility when floating to other units. Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED, etc.) o Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable ? Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises ? If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) ? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental ? Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Shift times: 0650-1910; 1850-0710 o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks ?
